It’s hard not to wonder what’s going to be blooming in April. So many flowers are out in bloom or budding already.

Yesterday I saw a butterfly on my daffodils and a baby inch worm. Its very, very early…maybe, too early.

Early February

February 5 we held a memorial by the creek for my Dad’s sister Peggy.

It was a quiet family moment.
The day looked like this.

New Years Day Blossom

image

It seems hard to believe, but this Jan. 1 I had an iris bloom. It is something of an odd occurence. Due most probably to harsh summer weather, long mild fall and moderate winter temperatures and lots of rain.

My head knows this, my heart tells me different.

My heart wants my brain to believe that… This is a sign of a unique and prosperous year. A time when the unexpected will bloom and delight when I least expect it.

I hope my heart is right and my head learns to listen.

Blessings and delight to all.

It’s the 10th of January now. I still have blooms opening.

Monday in Tennessee was almost 70F…. We wore shorts. Tuesday was 62F… we wore short sleeves…Today is Wednesday, and the weather says we may get a few snowflakes by afternoon. Meaning it must be close to freezing (32F) for that to happen.

a few Tuesday photos…

We love Halloween. Block party downtown tonight!

Enjoyed these flowers, too.

I should post!

Ever get busy? Then have those complications of life pile up? I should post, but then….I worry that I would say too much about personal squabbles and forget the daily goodies that never fail to amaze me.

I’m far from perfect, my life ultimately will not be perfect but I live each moment trying to find joy in the spaces of the day, the lessons in the attempts and try to shrug off the pessimists who cater to drama.

May we all post and toast the days…

Peek a boo

image

This canna seems a little shy.

A bit like a peekaboo…. Now I see you, now I don’t.

Life does that sometimes too.

Some days we see it, we get right to the point. Some days the meaning seems to hide out and only with careful observation are we able to see the bloom and the glory of the day!
